Everyone,

You’ll be aware that SISO are looking to reschedule this week’s cancelled SIW. The following are options for early 2018, can you please reply on this thread to provide a preference ASAP?

• January 8 – 12
o Pro: we can have all the meeting rooms, so there will be no need to rearrange the schedule
o Pro: it’s early in the year when most other activities won’t be starting back up yet
o Con: some may feel it’s too soon after the holidays
o Con: there’s always a chance that inclement weather will impact travel from / through the northeast
• January 22 – 26
o Pro: it’s not right after the holidays
o Con: we would have a reduced footprint, so the schedule will have to be rearranged and space may be tight for some groups
o Con: there’s still a chance of inclement weather impacting travel from / through the northeast
o Con: there’s a German simulation conference that same week which at least a few of our members will be attending
• March 26 – 30
o Pro: the chances of inclement weather are significantly reduced
o Con: Easter is on the Sunday following this week and many people take Good Friday off
o Con: as a result of Easter, this week is typically Spring break for schools in the US and a time when families take vacations

There is also an online survey which anyone can fill in - please do pass on to anyone you know

Thanks
Simon
