I will likely be a little late for the meeting today.

Subject: Otto's All About War Games pdf
Attached is a compressed version of the late Otto Schmidt's "All About War Games".
The uncompressed version is in the War Game Taxonomy folder of this Study Group at 18MB, it has a lot less fuzz on the font.
While the write up seems at first quite elementary and written from a miniatures standpoint (especially when it delves into the basics of
painting) but it gives a good grounding in fundamentals of war game design that can be applied to a variety of venues.
It's good little handbook for the poor soul who been assigned a war-gaming job out of thin air and does not know what a war game is.
Page 10 has a bibliography.
Otto knew Jack Scruby, and no doubt also played with Morschauser and Featherstone in their hey-day.
