Hi Chas,

I (very) quickly tried building with vc2013 yesterday vs. vc2005 and it mostly worked, a couple of test projects and videocaptureplugin project failed (linux header includes activated because jpeg library found) but then I didn't rebuild any of the dependencies, when I tried to run a test app it crashed though! So probably be more careful than me with dependency builds matching, esp. with ccl, of course if you're on linux it's probably a lot easier. I don't think boost is at fault for any of this but to note that the signals library that is being used is now marked as deprecated, it should be built with signals2.
BTW Chas, do your updated versions support 3.x anymore?

Roland.

Chas,

Here's what I have received from the MPV original designer. He is referring to what is on Sourceforge.

" We were using boost 1.34 for the last release of the MPV. Slightly newer versions (1.36) and slightly older versions (1.32, I think) would also work."

Hi Chas,

I last built it with vc2005 and boost 1.55 if that's any help.

Regards,

Roland.

Subject: CIGI 4.0 Tools

Good morning,

A reminder to all that I have an action item from our I/ITSEC meeting to forward the CIGI tools to Bill and Roland. The Hemu, CCL and CCL examples are complete. Give me 30 days to package them up nice and neat.

I've also decided to port the MPV to CIGI 4.0 and OSG v3.4.0. Does anyone remember what version of Boost MPV v2.2 support originally supported? I'd like to get the original version up and running...the port is crashing on startup. It's probably been 10 years since I've seen it running.

Any hints would be helpful.

Thanks
chas
