WG-4: Cyber Data Science in support of Wargaming
Classification: Classified
Chair: Dr. Rajeev Agrawal, U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center
Co-chair: MAJ Nathaniel D. Bastian, Army Cyber Institute

Description: The purpose of this working group is to understand the technological landscape of cyber data science in support of wargaming. Any wargaming tools require a significant amount of cyber data to create realistic scenarios. The government agencies, universities and industries have created cyber datasets and many of them are available to the cybersecurity research community. The goal of this working group is to have a 360 degree view on Cyber Data Science to include cyber data, visualization, tools, technologies, methods, platforms and current projects.

Session-1- Cyber Data Collection and Curation:
This session provides overview of various cyber datasets available for data science research. The goal is to create a detailed list of open source/govt./industry data sets.

Session-2- Cyber Data Visualization for Situational Awareness:
The cybersecurity data is very large and it is challenging to have good visualization tools to help analysts. This session will cover various visualization tools geared towards cyber data.

Session-3- Cyber Data Science Tools, Technologies and Platforms:
This session will introduce the participants a variety of tools to analyze cybersecurity datasets. It is expected that the presenters will describe the process of providing details of accessing their datasets, if applicable. The session will focus on the application of ML/DL techniques in cyber domain.

Session-4- Cyber Data Science Projects:
This session will cover the current projects that are applying data science algorithms to analyze cybersecurity logs or raw packets.
