Posted on behalf of Warren Katz. SISO Community: The Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization (SISO) Executive Committee (EXCOM) approved the second revision to the SISO Policies and Procedures (P&P) on 14 December 1999. SISO has evolved over the last few years necessitating additional changes to the SISO P&P. A small task force was put together in December 2000 to review and edit the P&P to document changes to the SISO organization and process. The revised document was posted for the 30-day community review on 10 May 2001. Comments were received, resolved and documented in a Comment Resolution Table (CRT). Changes from the posting were incorporated and the final edited document, SISO P&P Revision 3, was approved by the EXCOM on 13 August 2001. The SISO P&P Rev. 3 and the CRT are available on-line at: http://www.sisostds.org/doclib/doclib.cfm?SISO_RID_1002239 The following major changes were incorporated in SISO P&P Revision 3: * Chapter 5 was re-written to better outline the product development process and to introduce the SISO Balloted Products Development Process (BPDP) documents. * Study Group process was clarified. * SISO Elections were clarified.
