Dear Chris,

As ITEA and SISO operate under an MOA, I'm confident that the Southern
Cross Chapter of ITEA would be extremely supportive of your attached
suggestion for SETE-2007. I will also canvass INCOSE and SESA
opinions.

Best regards,

Dr Viv Crouch

President, Southern Cross Chapter, ITEA

[SETE2007]

This email is to suggest that SETE2007 could provide a forum to advance
the
goals of SISO Australia by means of one or more papers and/or a workshop
or
tutorial on simulation interoperability standards

The planning for SETE2007 was recently initiated which confirmed the
timing
of 24-27 September 2007 in Sydney. Monday 24 and Thursday 27 are set
aside
for tutorials, workshops and discussion forums. SETE is jointly
organised by
the Systems Engineering Society of Australia [SESA www.sesa.org.au] and
ITEA
in conjunction with INCOSE

Also for possible discussion with the SIAA there might also be scope for
discounted registrations for SIAA members in some form of cooperation
with
SimTecT

One of the themes of SESA is managing complexity in systems and
interoperability is a contributing factor in this goal. This has taken
the
form of a workshop on Complexity in ICT Systems and Projects conducted
earlier this year in conjunction with the Australian Software
Engineering
Conference

with kind regards
Chris Skinner
